Mother Of The Year!

well today I felt like I did not accomplish much. In fact I spent most of the day on the computer setting up this Blogspot....and chatting with friends. I had worked out at 6am, so that was out of the way and during the late afternoon hours I finally got some cleaning done, so I was starting to feel better about my accomplishments for the day. Then the phone ring...........It was my daughter's school calling. Why you ask? Well it is Wednesday, and on Wednesday they get out an hour early. OOPS! My poor little kindergartener was sitting in the office b/c her mom forget to go get her an hour early. To make it worse, my husband did the same thing last week, and I remember saying something along the lines of "How on earth could you forget to pick her up?" So I guess what goes around comes around. I was going to keep this a secret from him, but a few minutes after I get home the phone rings again. Ben (my husband) says "so how late were you?" Alyssa says " how did you know?" he replies " you passed me on the road on the way way to pick her up and you had a real worried look on your face." I guess so concerned that I did not even notice his car pass by right in front of me. So there you have it. There goes my chance for mother of the year award. I can here the comments coming in already "why don't you spend less time blogging and more time taking care of your children" SEND!

On another note I just finished watching "Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless mind". I am still trying to digest what I think of it. Right now all I can say is interesting. Howerver I have this curse where I can absolutly not stay awake when I am watching a movie. The wierdest thing. It was 8 pm when we started the movie and as soon as the opening credits came on my eyes start burning and I fight to stay awake the entire time. Then after fading in and out for and hour I get a second wind, make Ben fill me in on what happened so far, and then finish the movie. So I have seen parts of every new realease that has come out. I can be wide awake when I put the movie in, but as soon as it starts I cannot keep my eyes open. Anyway that is all I have to say about that. The movie is worth renting, but I am glad I didn't see it in the theater. Well maybe the dollar theater would have been ok. Tomorrow I am going to be more productive!

Oh my gosh you crack me up!! I was laughing out loud at you! "There goes my mother of the year award!". Too funny! If you ask me I think it's dumb that they get out an hour early on one day - who can remember that!
And by the way - the same thing happens to me with movies - Jeff gets so mad at me b/c as soon as he puts a movie in and I lay down I just can not keep my eyes open. He doesn't even like to watch anything now b/c he knows it will happen.

I'm glad you did this - now I have something funny to read!
